OBJECTIVE:
To place two hands on the opponent's hips or rip the flag (Rippa) to constitute a 'tackle'.
KEY FACTORS:
- Eyes on opponents hips
- Body position - legs bent; back straight; head up.
- Arms above hips.
- Place each hand on side of player with the ball or reach for flag.
COMMON ERRORS:
- Only one hand used.
- Player standing too upright.
- Player must be in a pre-tackle stance.
